mountains or high plains from the coast.

hours a day, 7 days a week, ..... by
appointment only.
Regular
office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to

any time, and in emergencies.
I am certified as a mobile signing agent with
the
National Notary Association,
123notary.com

mortgage packages.
My office is eDoc ready with dual tray HP digital laser
printer, broadband internet connection, and eFAX number. |
|
After completing my commission started in 2005
on 6/10/2009, I have begun using my newly
reinstated California notary commission number
1848891, newest required $25,000 notary bond and
newest $100,000 E&O insurance policy to continue
in the certified notary mortgage signing agent
business, as well as other duties including
notary work associated with family trusts,
investment plans, Trusted Enrollment Agent work
(for secured data certificates used in
aeronautical, pharmaceutical and government
business) as well as other notary services to
individuals and businesses, and I fully expect
to be acting in these capacities for all four of
my newly appointed commission term years through
6/10/2013.
IF any
current or prospective clients need a copy of the new
commission and insurance documents they should either call or
email me directly so that I can email them a
link where they may download those document
pages for their records.
ALL of my clients have my continued thanks and
appreciation for their continued calls!! |

After a
slight price decrease over the last several weeks,
we seem to have hit, at least, a temporary
bottom ....
$3.41 to $3.45 per gallon today
for REGULAR gasoline,
Travel
surcharges will STILL be suspended for now,
but it looks like we might
be coming to an end for that issue.
Here
is a small notary comment in a
Bulletin from the National Notary Association
(
if they would rather I didn't post this here,
they should call me and I will remove it
immediately, of COURSE!
You should bear in mind that this was written by
the original author during the time that
gasoline had risen to over $3.50 a gallon for
regular gas. The total calculation is a bit
better now, but the concepts covered in this
opinion continues to engage a note of truth of
accounting that still applies to today)

Note : MY
fees are still slightly lower than this person's
prices, as San Diego, California has a little
different competitive price structure .......
Check MY FEES to be sure!
|
Before I decided on
those fees for my work I undertook two months of investigations on
the going rate being averaged by
other singing agents in the same area, and also carefully calculating the costs of
required items (paper, toner, metal binder
clips, notary commission and supplies,
fuel and oil, tires, auto insurance, E&O
insurance, etc).
Those rates were not
decided on in haste, OR meant to be overly
profitable beyond making a decent rate
for my time, expertise, experience and
attention to the details of YOUR work
for your clients.
|
Obviously, I make even less now
than I did when those calculations were
originally done and those fees were decided on,
BUT I am
STILL not raising my rates. Even though there is
less business available due to the
credit "problem" being now being
experienced by those in the industry in
this country, I am holding the line in
my fees.
In short, it's a bit
insulting to me to be asked to work for
less than those 2005 fees. I'm already
"doing my part", and I hope that you all
will all decide to do so, too. |

My eFAX number for document forwarding will be 858-430-2593, OR, you may attach documents to

cleanest printouts.
There is no file size restriction on
my email inbox. Send as large a file as
needed, but PLEASE, if your documents are
created in resolutions higher than 150 pixels
per inch, printing
may be delayed as much as 20 seconds PER PAGE
with the current Adobe Acrobat full program,
and current free reader, even with my dual core computer with
3 Gb of
system memory and maximum printer memory, even
though resolutions above 150 PPI do not result
in better readability. |

I am covered by
$100,000 of Error and Omissions insurance
for
the protection of myself and my clients.
Individuals may see my rates page
prices on mobile notary work, while professionals should
call me directly so we can work up the normal type of

|
I am certified by the National Notary
Association as of October 23, 2006
as having had the needed additional
background search done for the
Financial
Modernization Act or Graham-Leach-Bliley Act of 1999 (GLBA)
I have also gone through
the normal 2 year update of that background
check,
and been given a CLEARED
mark by
Axciom Corp on 4/26/2010

You should note,
though, as the certificate above for this
particular background search and certification
is now expired, AND as the National Notary
Association is neither a NON profit business,
nor completely unassociated from the profit
centers or industry influence of that
governmental classification, I have ceased being
involved with this particular standard and
certification through that association as I no
longer believe that the NNA should be the sole
source of this certification, having made a lot
of money in the past influencing and profiting
from the background of this standard and it's
continued administration.
I continue to have the
regular FBI history background search mandated
in California for my notary commission,
as well as the back ground
screening mentioned above that continues to be
true.
If ANY client requires
and further background check or certification
beyond what I already have achieved, and
continue to to have, they should get in touch
with me individually so that we can discuss the
relevance and cost of that issue.

A NOTE about e-notary work
.......
Although I completed the NNA eNotary training
training on 2/2/07 ....
.... IN GENERAL I will NOT be offering
eNotary services until the state of California approves the whole process
for general use.
HOWEVER, late breaking news here
is that I have one consistent client here in San Diego who has
been recruited by a mortgage or title company who is doing
eSigning on mortgage paperwork packages, so that hesitation to
enter that part of the market may be closing and we may be
moving on to do at least partial eClosings for mortgage packages
in the near future. See new changes on the
RATES page
here as those new services are outlined to begin.
The total process includes an all electronic notary journal
(including sample signature, digital picture and right hand
thumb print), nearly paperless process, electronic notary
seal, and a notebook computer with wide band internet access, all
of which are compliant with Secure Identity Services Accreditation
Corporation (SISAC) requirements.
I realize that there are a
small number of title companies or signing services that now
incorporate a "pseudo" or "quasi" e-notary system for their
mortgage closings.
I have elected not to become
involved in these closings, preferring to wait until the
complete system can be incorporated.
This is based solely on my
personal belief that due to the current mortgage industry
problems being still "in place" and as yet not totally overcome,
we need not take any further chances with mortgages in general.
I trust that every one will
understand that position!
